Intel was at $50, a joyous time to sell. Nothing sad about that.

Now you are sad about the failures at 10nm. Thats being sad about the laws of physics. It's physics (and consequential cost effects) that are prohibiting that technology...oh yes, we can quibble..maybe they can
get 10nm reliably cost effective, someday, (and I am not going to buy into the lies of asian competitors, who seem to divide by 3 on every quoted dimension) but what then of 7nm? 5nm?
Sadly, in your parlance, the laws of physics will kick in ..
an atom is no smaller than 0.1 nm, (the Bohr radius times 2 )and if
you need 100x100 atoms to make a gate that's 10 nm! Maybe
you can get to 10x10...thats the stuff IBM does for bragging rights..never for a real product. so game over at some point...so sad...so sad.

I am sad that wormholes are so inaccessible, due to the enormous scale of gravity (M_Planck) that I can't get one to go back in time to visit my grandmother. So sad...so sad... (or maybe I could send you down a wormhole to 885 AD in Mercer (now England) to greet the Viking Grand Army's arrival...that might rip you another one...teach you about sadness).
