Hi Qarel
Maybe we can reduce the addition of the PC by that 2.5%
Since the addition is supposed to be 1/2 of buy reduce the 1/2 of buy by that 2.5%

Hi Qarel!

Well I certainly touched a few buttons with this conversation! I think that implies that I'm onto something that others have seen as well.

have also noticed that all AIM action tends to die (or demands steadily rising prices) with alternating minimum buys and sells.

"Tends to Die" is a great way to put it. I've always wondered why my AIM programs slowed down after a time.

Bottom line here is that Lichello's algorithm doesn't appear to work very well in a cyclic manner unless it is operating at or below the initial price. I've played around with 'resetting' the PC after a Sell, but that only works once you get past some breakeven point.

Therefore I'm going to play around with Myst's concept of a 'Moving Average' as a regulator of some sort. I know from past experience that the algebra will end up being boiled down to some simple formula (hopefully).

Thanks for jumping in here. I've only got 7 posts left today now.

Regards, Steve
