Yep, all they do is discourage people from buying them at that price. If they put up smaller amounts, as it rises, they would be bought...
Id rather pay more commission and sell smaller amounts as a stock rises, then scare buyers away and take less on the whole lot. I like maximizing gains
They will likely be bought later in the day, but still, its not what a savvy trader does... If we were trading 10's of millions of shares right now, it wouldn't be as big of a deal.
Thankfully, they will be gone soon and they wont get those share back imo, for cheap.
