All the opium grown for medical purposed is done outside.

If you're selling dry herbal buds as medicine indoor is better for environmental control of course. But the bigger medical market is in extracts and oils which it doesn't matter if the API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) is produced indoors or outdoors. You can get extracts grown from outdoor plants gmp approved.

And sure there will be Frost's and bad harvest but you guys are missing something big.

Canadian government thinks they will need 600 000 kg a year to meet legalization demand.

Outdoor can yield 1000+kg per hectare.

In Canada there are over 10 million hectares grown for food and fibre crops.

So if 0.1% of farmland was converted to growing Cannabis (10 000 hectares) it would produce over 10 times the demand for cannabis.

Consumer value per hectare of grain:
Maybe $5000
Per hectare of hemp seeds
Maybe $20 000
Per hectare of drug type cannabis
$10 000 000

Economics dictates that it will be grown outside soon.

Harvest one just bought 400 acres in BC to grow outdoors...don't be naive it's a plant it will be grown outdoors. And when it does the price will plummet and any big indoor producers not producing best weed ever will go broke.

Good luck

They qualify for a lot in Canada.

"The CGBC, encourages everyone that owns or plans to start a business to apply for Government Grants, Government Funding, Loans, Small Business Grants and Government Subsidy Programs."

However, they really don't need it.

You can buy it now, dispensaries are open for business. At least in Vancouver and Lower Mainland of British Columbia.
