I see this a lot in bankrupt companies.

A lot of people just don't understand bankruptcy and don't realize the shares will be cancelled without any recovery whatsoever. I even see people buying AFTER the cancellation has been announced, right up to the second the ticker is deleted.

You also have a lot of people who do little to no fundamental DD but instead just buy stocks off charts or look at the share prices and think the stock can't miss. Of course, it can and will.

Volume in meaningless. The stock WILL be cancelled, and anyone holding shares will lose 100% of their investment.
