#1070 RE: DewDiligence #1069

Great news.

It is obvious that the approval of Atryn has (re-)opened many doors for GTCB and that things start roling. The market should be recognizing this soon.

More on the LFB deal.

Great news Dew it's starting to look like our little guy's going to be a player.

Meanwhile back to you doom and gloomers. The more I contemplate this LFB deal to more I like it. Some points about LFB I feel have been glossed over. First of all it is state owned. Since a good deal of GTCB's future could be brightened by a more enlightened approach by the regulators, this kind of political connection can not possibly hurt us. No predictions, but this company is probably on speaking terms with Le Bureau de Sante' or whatever they call it.

Second LFB's a "major" (read backed by the French government} lab whose prinicipal activity is plasma protein fractionation.
For the non medical types there are over one hundred plasma proteins in the blood plasma. Each one has an active role in controlling some aspect of physiology. I feel certain LFB has a good understanding of which ones are of greatest clinical importance. Hmmm,,,I wonder if FactorVIIa might be one of those???

The fact LFB has recognised the advantages of transgenic production and has clearly decided to make a serious commitment toward transgenic plasma protein production is a great indorsement. Their choice of GTCB as partner puts our company at the head of the field. AT present, until the "Star Wars" medicines, mono clonal and poly clonal ABs become available,, plasma proteins will be GTCB's pricipal products. This is as close to a perfect fit as you get.

IMHO the 25Million$ was not important to the French. They want the shares because it is important to them and their long term plans to remain connected to GTCB. The idea this deal would be done so they pick up a few million in some jejuin pump and dump scam is moronic.

LFB and GTCB,,,,,,,yeah.

Dew, I could look it up, but it's easier to ask the board, are there any competing CD137 monoclonals?

Productive day for GTC on the newswires:
