I honestly don't think Dr. Odidi is up to no good. I think if anything he may have set that Smart Pharmaceuticals Shanghai manufacturing company in China to hopefully find a way to start selling IPCI's generics in China.

But exactly as your post illustrates Samsa, unless and until we get material announcements from IPCI explaining everything that is going on...we're left guessing and speculating and dealing with uncertainty that only IPCI themselves can clear up.

If I had to guess I would say that Dr. Odidi only set up the manufacturing entity in China to make China companies and the China govt happy...and that eventually we will discover that Smart Pharmaceuticals Shanghai does in fact get announced as an IPCI subsidiary exactly as you are speculating.

But now that all the china info is out there it's incumbent on IPCI to address it as soon as possible so their shareholders and the market can figure out exactly what's going on cheers!

Smart Pharma and IPCI have same Chinese characters. That would imply that Smart Pharma is a subsidiary of IPCI with the same Chinese name. Notice that the both use the same 4 Chinese characters, ????, which translates into smart pharmaceutical. (Oh well, it looks like ihub filters out Chinese characters and replaces them with question marks. I guess I could post a graphic.)

Intellipharmaceutics Inc (???) ????. English translation is (Canada) SmartPharmaceutical.

Smart Pharmaceutical ???? (??). English translation is SmartPharmaceutical (Shanghai).



Intellipharmaceutics' name is way too long. Most companies have 2 or 3 syllables. I would really like it if IPCI changed their name to "Smart Pharmaceuticals" or something simpler. Another option is breaking the name into "Intelli Pharmaceutical". 7 syllables is too long.

I thought that South African company called Smart Pharmaceutical might be involved. It does look like the founder of the company, Ridwaan Enous, is in the photos at the far right. I am not sure if he is there as a friend or business partner.

It also looks like Atiku Abubakar also appears in the photos. He tweeted one of the photos. He is former Vice President of Nigeria and a businessman according to his Twitter. Again, I am not sure if he is a friend of business partner.
