Just depends on the terms of the JDA and how quick to market. You do realize the implant is already designed right? I recall Sonny saying that their dental implant didn't need clinical studies but instead K9 which had already started. Without a transcript i cant verify if I understood him correctly.
It would make sense that no clinical trial would be necessary because DENTSPLY design has already been clinically tested as has Si3N4. However Si3N4 needs some data to show how it performs in an oral environment, thus the need for K9 study.
