MICHAEL WOLFF IS “ABSOLUTELY SURE” TRUMP IS CURRENTLY HAVING AN AFFAIR But the controversial author also says that he left that allegation out of Fire and Fury because he doesn’t have proof.
Fire and Fury author Michael Wolff exposed a lot of purported White House secrets in his new book, from tales of CIA miscommunications to stories of womanizing to Steve Bannon calling Don Jr. “treasonous.” The book has been criticized in some circles for being a confusing mishmash of what might be fact and what might be fiction, though Wolff has said that he possesses recordings of most of the interviews he conducted for it. But there was one potentially juicy bit of information that Wolff had to leave out of the text, simply because he didn’t have enough proof to back it up. During an appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher Friday, Wolff said that he’s “absolutely sure” Donald Trump is currently having an extramarital affair with someone inside the White House.
When Maher asked Wolff to tell him “something that the other people have not noticed in this book,” Wolff said, “There is something in the book that I was absolutely sure of, but it was so incendiary that I just didn’t have the ultimate proof.” He then elaborated: “Well, I didn’t have the blue dress.”
Maher asked if Wolff was talking about somebody Trump is “f---ing now,” and Wolff nodded. “It is,” he said. “You just have to read between the lines. It’s toward the end of the book. . .You’ll know it. Now that I’ve told you, when you hit that paragraph, you’re gonna say, ‘Bingo.’”
White House representatives have not yet responded to requests for comment on Wolff’s incendiary claim. One thing’s for certain: everyone working on that Fire and Fury TV show is going to have their work cut out for them.
United States President Donald Trump is telling allies and Twitter followers that it is the fault of the Democrats that the US Senate failed to pass a new budget.
The shutdown has prevented the funding of many federal services, which President Trump has blamed on the Democrats, calling it politically motivated.
Donald J. Trump ?@realDonaldTrump Not looking good for our great Military or Safety & Security on the very dangerous Southern Border. Dems want a Shutdown in order to help diminish the great success of the Tax Cuts, and what they are doing for our booming economy. 2:28 AM - Jan 20, 2018
Donald J. Trump ?@realDonaldTrump This is the One Year Anniversary of my Presidency and the Democrats wanted to give me a nice present. #DemocratShutdown 11:33 AM - Jan 20, 2018
Donald J. Trump ?@realDonaldTrump Democrats are holding our Military hostage over their desire to have unchecked illegal immigration. Can’t let that happen! 2:27 PM - Jan 20, 2018
While Trump blamed the Democrats for putting politics above their country, Democrats blamed Trump for rejecting bipartisan compromise deals. New York Democrat senator Chuck Schumer referred to it on the Senate floor as: the Trump shutdown.
Since then, Twitter users have been making a common joke, referencing the bankruptcies of some of Trump's businesses.
Beau Willimon ?@BeauWillimon In just one year as a "business man" Trump bankrupted three casinos and a hotel (1991-92).
In just one year as a "president" #TrumpShutdown the entire federal government.
This guy is incredibly efficient at failing. 11:15 AM - Jan 20, 2018
Daniel Hardcastle ?@DanNerdCubed Trump: I shall run the US Government as a business.
Also Trump: I have had six bankruptcies. #TrumpShutdown 9:48 AM - Jan 20, 2018
Steve Hofstetter (Bakersfield & Fresno Jan 23-24) ?@SteveHofstetter As promised, Donald Trump is running the government like a business. Unfortunately that business is a cross between Circuit City and Pan Am. 8:28 AM - Jan 20, 2018
Stonekettle@Stonekettle They elected Trump and the Republicans to run government like a business.
Right?
In business, if you suck so bad at basic leadership that the business is forced to shut down, YOU GET FIRED.
