Gypsy disambiguated

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you (as do many) still misunderstand the Gypsy (as in Roma or Romani) culture.

I'm your plain, ordinary, mostly lily white American of mostly northern European and some French ancestry. If I were asked to go to a typical American wedding, I would ask, "would it bother you if I didn't"? I consider most of them to be boring.

I would leap at the chance to go to a Latin American, Greek, or Gypsy wedding, and I have had opportunities to do that. Wish it were more often.

As for the people living out of their van, I think they are passionately attached to their location and lifestyle and to each other first, and their employment last. After all, a house is often little more than a place to go to get out of inclement weather and to sleep.
