No. That's the point. This is pocket change to them and they aren't trying to maximize profits. If they were selling at $1.50... they should be ecstatic to sell all of their shares at once for $2.50 and not have to deal with another year or two of dribs and drabs and filing Form 4s.
Once more, just look up the net worth of the individuals involved. You are trying to understand things based on your world and not placing yourself in theirs to understand the motivations.
