#277378 RE: Lindel #277372

Curious on the technical side, and feel to correct me if this is confidential information, in regards to the M2SYS Non-invasive Finger Vein Reader (M2-FingerVein), does your system for the American Green Machine have some sort of image processing algorithm built in to compare input images to a stored database? I'd imagine so, but I'd be interested in hearing how the biometric verification process is conducted. Based on your quality assurance testing, does the vein reader have a pretty good false rejection rate?

As with any sensitive information, does your software encrypt the biometric information to prevent an outside source from gathering data about who has purchased from the machine and their personal information? What sort of encryption method is being implemented? If that is private information, that is understandable.

What are some of the major advantages between the current system in the American Green Machine and the VE Platform that was used in the ZaZZZ? Side question, does the American Green Machine need internet access to operate, or can it act as a standalone system without wireless/ethernet?

Is the magnetic stripe reader on the American Green Machine used for swiping your Driver's License, or is that something else? I'd like to hear a little bit more about what information is needed during the registration process and where/how that information is received from the user.

And finally... what's with the webcam? I have the same one on my computer, Logitech C615 it looks like, it looks like it is just sitting up there in some window at the top of the machine. Is this video stored on the machine? Is it used for biometric verification? (The ZaZZZ claimed it was, and required users to stand in a certain spot on a doormat.)

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.
