#9599 RE: Straightshot #9598

I'll certainly agree with you that the drug industry has been doing this, but it's not because that's what the FDA mandates. I have all sorts of disagreements with how the FDA approves drugs, and with our Politicians as to what they allow to be developed, but the FDA essentially sets the criteria for approving the drugs, but it's the drug-maker's developing these poison's.

I also believe that big Pharma has greatly held back things like development of cannabis based drugs, placental stem cells, etc by applying pressure on Congress not to permit it. The FDA can only work with what Congress permits it to.

I was thrilled when I first found PSTI to find a company that developed drugs using technology that probably wouldn't have been accepted here in the U.S., but once developed, the drugs are being accepted for trial.

I'm a recipient of adult stem cells which were a 12 point match for me, but I wonder how much simpler the procedure could have been if decades ago work with placental stem cells had been permitted. Of course before I ever got those stem cells I underwent all sorts of chemo, and remain on some drugs. I wonder if none of that would have been needed had a placental based stem cell solution been available. I'm not putting down the medicine that's kept me alive, I just wonder how much better it could be if Politic's didn't permit certain technologies to be developed.

I'm thrilled to see Israel is one place where such development is permitted.
