I actually discussed the battery situation with an electrical engineer about 2 / 3 months ago. He calms the faster you charge a battery the more life you take from it. Once again more questions than answers.

I agree the EV would seem to work pretty good for an auto but not very good at all for a medium to heavy duty truck. Most are probably not aware but those huge coal hauling trucks /iron ore truck, are driven by a huge diesel engine with each wheel being driven by an electric motor.

The biggest setback to the class 8 highway tractor is weight and cost. I have not heard anything that changes my mind.

The bottom line is a NatGas powered truck is definitely the best for the environment and the most economical to operate.
