I don't know if anybody explained what a Kool aid drinker was to you. That saying refers to what a sicko by the name of Jim Jones did to his followers. The kool aid was tainted and all his followers died from the tainted kool aid.

GLL You Britts have a way of saying things that confuse us Westerners...
Wow 450 years old!! Everything in Colorado was built after Gold Rush days 1850 and on. Grade 2 that sounds like what we would call a Historical Preservation. Any modifications to be built have to be in such a way as to preserve the character of the house. That can be tricky you have to hire contractors that are familiar with certain building techniques. I was involved with a real estate developer who rescued and rehabbed old buildings in Lower Downtown Denver we call it LODO. They turned out beautiful and people were waiting in line to lease office space, commercial(mostly restaurants and bars), and Lofts to live in. Too bad he was such a maniac and way too hard to work for. A genius with a bad, bad temper. Sometimes I think the old saying dividing genius and madness is very thin.
