Fidelity is good. I used to love them. but a few observations.
The good.
(no additional fees for extended hours trading)
same-day deposit/buying power access (as soon as you click submit for a deposit, your account is credited to buy stock that minute).
instant transfer of funds between Fidelity accounts (internal transfer)
$4.95 commission accross the board (no additional fees for stocks below $1, more than x number of shares etc.)
The Bad
They no longer allow pennystock purchases of some pinksheets (and all greysheet) stocks. The no-information penny stocks. If there is a stop sign or caveat emptor symbol on otcmarkets.com, you can't trade it anymore. It used to be great, I could buy ANYTHING.
Their maintenance requirements for shorting hard-to-borrow stocks,ETFs seems higher than some other brokerages.
overall it's better than most for what types of trading I do.
Benchman, my BF recently had a problem getting Fidelity to wire funds to his Wells Fargo bank account from his Fidelity account. It was a nightmare although he had ample funds in his account and has had an account with them for many years.
