#204 RE: Enterprising Investor #203

What many investors do not understand is that the major energy players in the US (like Shell Oil and Chevron) have the ability to produce oil profitably even if oil falls to $20 a barrel. Chevron, Shell, and others
are big players on TPL lands. They are not looking at short term results
but massive projects that may run for decades. TPL is at the cusp of this
renaissance that may see it have solid earnings for decades to come as well.

I have no doubt TPL will hit $3000 within 3-5 years. It may hit $5,000
within 5 years. Could it hit $10,000 within 10 years? Too far out to
see, but it may be possible. Much will depend on what TPL can do with
water. TPL has set up a "full service" water division. If or when it
will be fully engaged I do not know. One thing for certain...water demands
in the Permian will increase including the need for water recycling and
ultimately, a safe and environmentally sound way to dispose of tainted
water/fluids.

Many questions here that may only be answered over time. For now, a lot of
assumptions and guess work are called for to understand where this is
headed in the long-term.
