Well, in order to get the investors to pony up the cash they had to sell the dream rather than the reality. Noticed that Apple Tree is apparently trying to get others in to share the risk.
The $110 million will be used for general corporate purposes, which will include probuphine. But honestly, I cannot see what will change with injectables vis-a-vis probuphine. Still a huge gap between price and what insurance companies will cover, still need to use the buy and bill model.
I do believe as people taper down from the high levels of bupe in injectables there will be more of a natural migration toward probuphine.
