Borrowed money? They are not the ones paying off the bond. They are the holders of the bonds, just like if you or I were to buy a Us treasury bond. You own the bond get paid the interest and then when it matures get your principle back. Having said this, we do not know the details of the deals they have with the companies they are managing the bonds for. Possibly they will give then 50% of profits, etc, but in no way is CSHD the lender. They are the bond holders.
