Yes that song has morphed into a mess when Dylan sings it now- seems he can't hardly sing anymore.I go see the Moody Blues 50th Anniversary show next Friday at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio. On the 7th row in a venue that seats about 2400 should be up close and personal.
The times have changed. When we were in grade school we got caught playing Dylan's "Rainy Day Women" on the record player. That was some serious trouble with one teacher actually wanting us suspended, and although that didn't happen I think there were a couple days of solitary confinement within school for us.
So I'm sitting in the bank lobby the other day, and guess what's playing over the PA? So I tell the young lady at the desk nearby "You know, I almost got suspended from school for playing that song on the school's record player and now they're playing it in a bank?" I think she thought I was weird.
