Yes, this news was why we saw the spike in PM prices this morning and the short-lived drop in the stock market. I suspect the Chinese were attempting to send a message to Trump/America that we still need them to buy up our debt in a big way. If they don't then the results would be nothing short of catastrophic for the bond market. Probably more talk than anything else IMO.
