TV remote controls with a voice-driven search option have been around since at least mid-2016 since that's when my wife and i moved to Arizona and the Cox Cable system that we signed on with for our cable service supplied us with this type of remote.
I am very impressed with how accurate the voice-recognition tech has developed over the past several years, including what's available in my Samsung smart-phone (i usually use voice-driven text messaging to save me a lot of time compared to typing out messages, though i usually have to go back into the message and correct some poorly-recognized words. Don't have the time to learn the "swiping" technique or whatever it's called that some of my relatives and friends have learned to quickly input text messages).
