"However, we don't anticipate that the change in policies at the DOJ will significantly impact patients, consumers or businesses that comply with state regulations." Too funny, there are NO regulations in place as of yet for Recreational Marijuana and many communities are in limbo at this point. The Freetown facility is a greenhouse for Medical Marijuana, which could not be stopped thru zoning or any other harsh remedy by any Town in Mass due to STATE law. Recreational is a far different animal which has been neutered, if the draft regs for recreational stay near the same. EVERY MEDICAL dispensary, as well as every one I have seen planned, has their own cultivation facility site planned already. But for Coastal's plans to move in, if ever erected into Freetown, well, they are gonna need a better plan cus medical is only a small segment. And, it is possible the Freetown voters can ban it as they tried to get on the Town meeting recently such a warrant. They were a yes Town so they'd have to have a vote to ban it. What it means is ACAN is nowhere near not losing a boatload of money next year and maybe just a pie in the sky dream.
