This video is from a panel discussion that Melissa Orme, CTO of Morf3D, was part of on December 7th. Starting at the ~57 min mark, Melissa discusses the 'complete digitization of the AM process' and discusses the prospect of combining multiple companies under one roof including a 'software company'. I have to believe she was referring to Sigma Labs.

If I were to speculate what significant news item that could come out, I would say that the previously discussed merger with Morf3D, Sigma Labs, etc could be consumated. She says that she expects it to occur in 2018, and to me, I can't believe that she would even mention it if it was anticipated to occur in 3Q18 or 4Q18. I believe this is coming soon. That's my IMO.

Navajo Technical University is not exactly the "Harvard of the Southwest". It's located in Crown Point New Mexico (population less than 2500, almost exclusively Navajo). It offers vocational training to the students in the following areas. It is very difficult for me to imagine that this institution is capable of preparing the trained workforce to take on this kind of manufacturing program. The idea that they would be at the forefront of the industry in two years is more than a little difficult to imagine. This whole thing sounds like a publicist dream with little chance of materializing. Do some research on Navajo Technical University and judge for yourself.

Yes, but I wonder how much of this initiative (which as stated originated back in early 2017 or before) relied on Obama-era funding policies. As seen today throughout from Sessions and the industries related to legalization...anything can change.

Would like to see what the current administration's policy is.

Capt_Smith Thanks much for this post! It's awesome to see that Sigma LAbs continues to work with the best in the industry. I'm looking forward to SGLB's future!

I wonder if this may refer to Pratt & Whitney, Woodward, and some of the other aerospace companies we work with. Perhaps it may even include Airbus?

and a host of others.
