Here in L.A. they still haven't taken licensing requests, but they've said that existing stores could continue operations until licenses are issued. One article I saw indicated that some existing stores will not get licenses, and eventually will be forced to close.
From what I've read, many cities and counties in California are in roughly the same shape as L.A. It's sad to me with the time they had to do it that they couldn't get it done, but I guess we should know that Govt. at all levels moves slowly, if they move at all.
