As someone who watches the market all day, every day some short term opportunities avail themselves but the largest part of my profits for the year were from a handful of stocks. Most of which I could have done much better on.
PERI, IVFH, PGAS, and PROM accounted for over 50% of my gains. Each of them could have been much better had I held longer.
I also traded in and out of NVFY several times for some pretty good gains in a few weeks. SDPI was a decent gainer for me as well.
I also had a ton of small profit flips during the course of the year.
CAPC was a decent gainer for me as I doubled down on the dip to .40 and when I saw several days of large volume trading in the mid .50's with sellers constantly stepping in I finally sold off most of them for a decent gain even if it wasn't what I had hoped for when I first started buying it.
I made a decent gain on a stock you first mentioned so thanks. I can't remember the symbol but they were bought out. I think it started with a "C".
For the larger plays I would describe my strategy as going big on stocks I believe will have gains so large I couldn't possibly screw it up when I sell even if I sell way too soon. Inevitably I get frustrated and sell too soon but luckily I am pretty good at my entrance prices so I still do well even when I sell too soon.
