I understand GTS in tracking shipments. But DNA barcoding databases are based on organic dna short sequences. Obviously , chemical fertilizers do not have organic dna.
If the barcode on packaging is using dna barcodes they would be related to a different and separate data base from GTS.
Therefore, that article, imho, makes no sense.
