Good thing officers are willing to defer a high salary for shares. Not a bad sign IMO. If they do well, we do well. Recent progress in hemorrhagic fever vaccines and Zika are promising and pending data analysis from the HIV boost trial are possible catalysts for a stock move.
I have no problem with options. If the company doesn't do well, the options are worthless. The latest options were granted at the market price.
I do get worried if the strike price is lower than market. Intel has been doing this since 1997. At Intel, this represented rewards for non-performance. If the option strike price is market, then so what. Startups are a grind and the principles deserve the rewards.
