They think it will effect the pps people see. But they’re wrong. You need at least 100 shares for the pps to change. It’s called “painting the tape” they’re trying to make people without a trade sheet think the pps is lower when really it’s 1 share. It can also be to trigger stop losses. It goes both for selling and buying. Essentially, they’re wasting their commission
