It seems like he is going for max punitive damages from Apple and others. He needs to demonstrate that due to Apple's willful dismissal of INVT's Panasonic patent claims that INVT is unable to conduct business as normal. Right now INVT has at least a year of financial reporting that indicates that hardship. Pretrial conference is Feb 2. Let's hope his strategy translates to a big settlement.
Im not sure how much the monetary costs are for those 7 patents. But the punitive damage claim should have the settlement near the 50 million range. Anything higher is gravy.
