Please don't over estimate the progressive nature of the Doctors. Sadly medicine is much more of a business to many Doctors than it is an advocation. Several things will have to happen before any kind of testing will be wide spread.

First the insurance companies will have to be willing to pay for them and that will only happen after they are convinced it can be proven it is cheaper to screen than pay for hit or miss treatments.

Secondly and almost simultaneously with the first the practitioners and the public will have to be made aware of not only the existence of these tests but also their effectiveness.

Thirdly it will take several court cases where verdicts are reached because these type of tests were administered and no negligence can be assigned or the opposite and their lack of use proves the negligence factor.

I am sure others can add to the above but I think these three are most likely the major factors.

Additionally the above is also based on the presumption that such tests are validated and sanctioned by the FDA or some other august body.

As always the above is JMHO and worth what you paid for it.
