I'm a chart guy but in no way am I saying that a stock runs 'because' of the chart. A chart reflects the trading and puts it into an easy to digest graphical format for people to process. It's the fundamentals and news that ultimately matter, but the charts are what alert me to the strong trading stocks and from there I dive in to find out 'why' the chart looks strong. It's like getting a nice haircut and looking at yourself in the mirror. You're hair doesn't look good because of the mirror, but without the mirror you might not know how it looks.
