From page 3 of recent lithium americas presentation they differentiate between "contract prices" ($13k/ton) and China Lithium "spot" prices ($25k/ton). My working understanding is that the cot rant prices are between mines and refiners where as "spot" prices are for lithium carbonate in the open market.
