NNVC's Independent Directors are identified in the company's filings at the link provided (and probably on the company website). Director independence is formally defined...it's not a subjective term in this context.

Then you almost certainly didn't notice that was there a HUGE block of shares withheld from Anil Diwan in the recent election of Directors. (I guess no one did.)
Probably wise to stick strictly to the tea leaves....they don't always combine well with reality-based considerations. Although when one you got all revved up about a paper that tries to read meaning into departing independent directors it might have been helpful to devote some thought to what they really are and how one finds them.
