The old lesson here is obvious, don't invest in penny stocks and expect a moral CEO, don't invest in penny stocks and expect a competent company. Do expect to be taken, do expect greed, do expect the company to fail. Make money on runs anything more is gravy, mostly do not look to God as a retributive force to compensate for being naive and don't act morally superior.
