Just crippling the poor even more. The internet gives you access to learn what you want to know, get out of your tax bracket, get out of all sorts of bad situations. You can research, pick up skills, learn things that otherwise you would need the $$$ and/or know the right people. They're just making the divide bigger in the long run.

Not to mention that there were tons of movements and protests against this in the form of contacting state officials, internet comments/forums, phone calls, etc. After all the stupid name changes, SOPA PIPA and all the other dumb one sentence revisions being slammed down. For a government by the people for the people, doing what the public have clearly presented that they DON'T want without a second glance is a bit despicable.
