That's why after 25 years of stock trading and watching many stocks fall year after year and losing money (been there and done that too many tinmes), I no longer "invest" rather "trade" only.
When stocks reach certain technical bottoms and everyone bails in agony, guess who buys those shares? That's right, the one who has been diligently watching the chart. And when everyone is euphoric, the shares are sold and stock price falls.
Some call it technical rebound, shorts covering, "Pump and dump", dead cat bounce, etc. ... That's reality for stock trading and will not change.
