We are talking stoners. They don't want hassles.

What total BS! You act like only lower class young unemployed potheads buy MJ.

What Does the Average Cannabis Consumer Look Like?

How Old Are Recreational Cannabis Users?

25- to 29-year-olds account for the largest percentage of customer loyalty members (20%), followed by 21- to 24-year-olds (16%). Yet the average customer age is 37.6-years-old, which is a higher than one might expect given stereotypes about marijuana users. The average age for female customers is slightly older at 38.2 while the average age for males is 37.4. People ages 65 to 95 make up less than 5% of customers.

Who's buying medical and recreational marijuana?

Walk into a marijuana dispensary in a state where medical or recreational use is legal, and more likely than not, the employee behind the counter, a.k.a. the "budtender," is a 20-something male.

But it's the person on the opposite side of the counter who might surprise some. The fastest-growing demographic shopping at marijuana dispensaries is 35- to 50-year-old women as well as people born from 1946 to 1964 — the boomer generation, said Carrie Roberts, founder of 420 Intel Agency...

..."They've got freedom of time. They've got disposable income," Roberts said. The average dispensary customer spends $156 a month, she said.

Dispensary customers are not simply 20-year-olds trying to get high, she said. "There are a lot of different people coming in."

Older users might use cannabis products to help with pain from arthritis or carpal tunnel syndrome, Roberts said.
