First it was sectors, now it is branches...which one is it? Words have meaning here in the building and one has to try to determine what you are stating as an opinion/fact/assumption in your post to have a meaningful discussion on the topic.
To come to the bottom line. Sigma is known by a sub contractor to a contract to another contract to another contract to a prime contract to provide a product or service. Or in short, DoD has no freaking clue who Sigma labs is, or do they even care about some litle known company out of Arizona. You overstate and oversimply your assertions in order to facilitate conversation and attempt to paint Sigma in a positive light. I have personally managed programs for the Army and have reached out to numerous counterparts in the building and in the field. No one knows them.
Now becuase the Navy has worked with them through once again, a contract of a contract of a contract to a sub contract...does in no way shape or form indicate that the DoD is aware of this company. (A subcontractor to a contractor to a prime contract may know who sigma labs is, and that is a stretch)(likely a POC in the subcontractor whom works for all the above knows who sigma labs and they are likely in now way connected to the DoD except to provide a part/service)
In the shortest of terms, the DoD could care less about Sigma labs and can find a replacement or some other capability that provides the service/function/part that they require to fill a capability gap.
