It's hard to find oil. If it were easy Halliburton wouldn't be needed, and Israel would have found oil long ago and would be producing large quantities already.
Oh, and as for those institutional investors - they're index funds. They replicate the index, and are indifferent to the fundamentals or outlook of the company in question. Those institutions are not an endorsement.
I hope you're analysis runs a little deeper than "they are using Halliburton" and "institutional investors own it, so therefore I should too" lol
Green Dolphin; ZN is drilling an oil well... Oilfield Services are required to drill oil wells... In a region where virtually no drilling takes place, there is little to no competition between service companies...
So Zion uses Halliburton's Services for one of two reasons: 1) That was their only choice, or 2) Halliburton placed the low bid...
Halliburton has not endorsed this prospect in any way, they will make money whether it is a success or not...
