Failing to meet a self-imposed timeline is not progress. Management saying they’ll do something, then not actually doing it — especially after a well-established pattern of the same — does not inspire great confidence in any other things that might be said, assured or promised.
Not saying it isn't some small measure of progress, but how can they expect anyone to be excited about a site announcement for something they said would already be done by now? Seriously.
