No other material can achieve the level of fusion as quickly as Si3N4 except autograft though I'm curious how 2nd gen performs comparatively.
Peek & titanium cause inflammatory response in the body. Body encapsulates peek with fibrous tissue and titanium + peek particles induces osteolysis (more of an issue in regards to hip implants).
Then there's the important biological factor in that the body can evacuate SiNi naturally because its water soluble while titanium and peek build up in the body. Titanium can cause metal allergy or even heavy metal poisoning.
