That's what happens in a mania. These crypto currencies are like the internet stocks back in the late 1990"s, they're going up on just air. Speculators are piling in just because everyone else is doing the same. When the bottom falls out IMO a lot of people will get burned...just like they did then.
Wasn't anonymity one of the big selling pieces for the cryptos? This article discusses how the UK and EU are forcing Bitcoin owners to identify themselves. IMO before all is said and done the governments will take all the reasons to own Bitcoin and the other cryptos away, then the allure in owning them will fade away.
