It's a lot easier for me to grow weed than make my own beer. Maybe not a lot, but it is easier. Again, the barriers would be similar. If you think Molson has a lot of competition from craft brewers, why do you think in the future Canopy won't have competition from small producers? And yes, the government will of course hand out more licenses as we need more supply.
Weed unfortunately can't differentiate their product much, it's a plant. And they can't really advertise either, so again, more issues there.
