Mining is one of the sectors in which Berkshire is not really interested. See where Buffetr owns shares. Does not mean that one of the companies in which he is invested, like aircraft or Precision Parts would not be. Secondly I donot think Buffett would publicly confirm any negotiation with anybody if not obliged by law
