Why do you say it is embarrassing? Our market cap is huge for a company with no proof it can make or sell a product on a massive commercial scale yet.
There are too many other places where people can put their money and make a greater short-term investment with even a high yielding dividend stock.
I don’t think we will see a real move until someone major starts gobbling up the float on sheer speculation (like all the private money being poured into BoltThreads), or until KBLB gets Vietnam approval and starts shipping or announcing it will ship to a private customer or something.
This needs to get out of solely being in R&D mode and also go full throttle into mass production and mass sales mode. KBLB will always be able to do R&D on different, customized, stronger, more elastic, more “pure” silks. But it is a business, it already has one or two products in MonsterSilk and DragonSilk that could be mass produced and be sold once Vietnam is approved and up and running.
There is still that third silk they created that supposedly exceeds DragonSilk. I am guessing that is the third strain being grown in the lab. And I’m guessing the fourth will be several test strains in trying to create a customized strain for the military.
I’m not embarrassed by the share price. I’m embarrassed by the fact we have two products in MS and DS that are ready for prime time and we can’t even make enough of it apparently to give out samples to all the prospective buyers out there. Hopefully Vietnam or something else happens to change that soon.
