Don't know if this is the problem, however, a long time ago I had an order in for a buy and basically forgot about it. The trade went thru and I was short in my account of funds to pay the FULL amount of the trade. I later paid when I noticed it - before they sold the shares to pay for it - I received a notice that my account was restricted for a certain amount of time, 6 months I think, to CASH only purchases, I think the account was restricted to CASH ONLY for about 6 months. However, I do not think it was my Ameritrade account.
