Bland might be the note holder?

I've lost track of many of Bland's friends -- and I gather that many are no longer in contact with him (due to lingering issues from MBHC, etc.).

Or this could be mostly a scam, with all fake numbers, and Bland could be orchestrating in an attempt to sell shares.

I dunno.
