If today's short volume was 36.58% of the total volume the other 63.42% had to be long volume, right? Or was a certain percentage of today's volume sideways volume? Was the total volume of which 36.58% was short volume all real share volume or was some of it just "marker" volume? Can a person short a "marker"?

Just documentation isn't enough. I need more.
