The Medicines Control Council has on Wednesday briefed MPs [Members of Parliament ] on its framework for medicinal cannabis access in South Africa.

The council has recommended that cannabis be rescheduled, to make it a legal substance to grow for medicinal and research purposes. The framework will be gazetted on Friday and be made available to the public.
